A Fruitful Season: Creamy Summery Ideas for Custard and Mousse Delicacies

Now that summer is finally here, you might be buckling up to hit the kitchen and try out as many desserts as you can.

Sure, it will be fun.

But the question is, are you trying out something new this year? Or will it be the same as always – peace cobbler and strawberry cheesecake?

Let’s take the risk and try out different recipes this year. Because, you never know, you might end up getting your hands on that one dessert, that you’ve been craving all this time.

For summer, the perfect desserts one can think of are Custard and Mousse, which require no hefty preparations and can be made in as minimum time as possible.

Here are 3 of our favorite summer-time desserts that you need to try right now!

Banana Pudding

For all those who love the irresistible combo of chocolate and banana, this dessert is THE one for you.

All you need to do is pop some tofu, agave nectar, vanilla, banana in a blender. Blend until creamy and smooth. Pour the creamy mixture in glasses and top with some chocolate sauce and shaved chocolate. Chill and serve.

Lemon Mousse

This chilled dessert contains a well-balanced citric kick and sweetness, whisked together in airy whipped cream.

To make lemon mousse, you’ll need a quarter cup of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of lemon zest, half cup sugar, whipping cream and 2 egg whites – whisked until soft peaks have formed.

Take a separate bowl, whisk together some lemon juice, zest and sugar, until combined.

In another bowl, whip some whipping cream, until light and fluffy.

Now fold in the lemon juice mixture and egg whites into the cream. Refrigerate overnight and serve with graham crackers’ crumbs sprinkled on top.

Mango Mousse with Coconut

For this recipe, you’ll need 2 pureed mangoes, gelatin, sugar, whipping cream, coconut essence and shavings.

First off, melt some sugar and gelatin in warm water and add in the pureed mangoes.

In a separate bowl, whip some whipping cream, add in the coconut essence and whisk it until fluffy.

Now fold in the mangoes and gelatin mix and refrigerate. Serve chilled, with deep fried coconut shavings on top.

Beat the heat this summer with these recipes and make them each time, with a twist. Shine through your desserts and let Divine Specialties be your baking partner!
